This unique Oregon photo workshop is designed for adventurous creatives looking to capture the rugged beauty of the South Coast from a kayak and on a budget. This shorter, small-group tour offers an intimate experience paddling through hidden sea caves, beneath natural arches, and into remote coves only accessible by water during the lowest tides of the year. All Kayaks and wetsuits are included in this adventure!
We’ll explore some of the most dramatic coastal formations in the Pacific Northwest by kayak, combining ocean adventure with golden hour and sunset photography from breathtaking vantage points. Expect a mix of potential moody magical light, mysterious fog, and wild ocean textures that make this coastline a dream for moody, cinematic photography.
This is not your average photo workshop! It’s an immersive adventure on the water. With a limited group size of 4, you’ll get more one-on-one time and guidance as we shoot from sea level and explore perspectives few photographers ever get to see.
We’ll be based near a charming coastal town with plenty of amenities, and depending on conditions, we’ll pick the best launch points and scenic spots each day. There will also be casual post-processing and image review sessions back on land where we’ll cover creative editing, mood building, and how to bring your sea cave shots to life.
All kayaking routes are chosen based on weather, tides, and participant comfort. Previous kayaking experience is preferred, you should be comfortable on the water and able to carry your gear short distances.
Transportation to and from the meeting points is on your own, though we’ll connect participants beforehand in case anyone wants to coordinate rides or lodging.
Don't miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable photography adventure! Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot today and prepare to unleash your creativity amidst the wild beauty this Summer on the Oregon Coast!
